Up the Hill Down to the Nevermind is a game about identity, girlhood, delusion, and memory. A lonely and depressed hikikomori grapples with their existence and transgender identity in a world where delusion begins to intertwine with reality. What once was good is now lost and all that's left is memory- but how reliable is your memory?
7.6k words - it should take no more than an hour to play.
18+ ONLY! It also deals with themes of suicide and focuses bugs, so please beware if either of those discomfort you.

made a late enter to my vncup2 reading era but I'm really really glad I made it with this one. the narrative struck a chord with me. I liked the ending the most, I'd like to believe there's joy and light out there for me as well and that none of this pain was for nothing :) guts's artwork never fails to impress me, needless to say you guys did a wonderful job!
ps. I somehow didn't realize the ''nsfw'' written in bigass bold capital letters right there at the top of the info section and thought it'd be a good idea to read with my boyfriend which led me to face the consequences...... thank god he just laughed and said it was ok lmaosk hwheuhkwhujd neways sorry I just thought it was a silly enough experience to worth sharing

The story and the overall mood of this vn was amazing. It was confusing at first but as the story progressed I was starting to understand the underlying story was. I really enjoyed it. I hope that you make more vn that have very compelling stories like this.

n incredibly wonderfully uncomfortable piece that rubs at my brain in all the right ways. Gorgeous prose that fits with the artwork perfectly and a very relatable depiction of depression, dysphoria, disgust at oneself, and regaining a will to live. Definitely a piece that will stick with me for a while, you should be proud of yourselves for your hard work!
